Spread the Love!! Give Away {Portrait Photographer, Minnesota}

Whew what a year, 2010…

I’d do that again, what a great 2010!!  Did anyone else feel that it just FLEW by!?

2010 was a great year at the Connaughty house hold, I will be the first to admit that the pregnancy & birth of Addie is what made it so.  We’re still adjusting to being a family of 5 (6 if you include our dog), I’ve learned a schedule, and sticking to it will be my saving grace. But it feels Awesome to be a Mom of 3.

2010 has best my best year yet with my photography business, every time I book a session I feel blessed and a little surprised that I’m as busy as I am. It’s just a confirmation to me that this is what God has planned for me, and I’m so glad that he does. I love it!!  Besides being crazy busy as a mom & with my photography we’re involved at our church on the Hospitality Team, and the Nursery team. They’re both a great niche for Ron and I since we both love kids and coffee, and meeting new people.

Ron- is still working at IBM, and things are still going great for him there! In fact he’s in a special executive fast track program, and is taking college classes right now for a certification (paid by IBM). Did anyone ever question if Ron would be a good analyst? I think not! He still golfed just as much as ever this past year, and actually won the St. Charles Country Club Championship as well as the Lewiston Club Championship.

Ayden- Turns 5 in March, 5 can you believe it? He’s such a special little boy (as he would correct me right now, “Mom I am a Big Boy!”). Ayden had his tonsils & adenoids out this Spring and it’s taken care of his throwing up & snoring. It was a easy operation, but did it ever break my heart putting him through it.  Ayden is in his last year of pre-school and loves it, it’s great to see him make friends and learn new things. This year Ayden is also in Dance Class here in town, and he LOVES that as well. They’re doing a recital in April and Ron and I can’t wait to see it. Ayden has really come out of his shell over the past few months and is really outgoing. He is my big helper around the house, LOVES his sisters so much, and loves to help me cook, bake, do crafts and loves music. But above all he loves Super Heroes. His favorites right now are Spiderman & Ironman.  In fact for Halloween he was Spiderman and Ava was Batman. Ayden thought that was pretty cool that his little sister wanted to be like him. Ayden is still our little man, in fact there is only a couple inch different in height between Ayden  & Ava, and Ava already borrows Ayden’s clothes.

Ava- Turned 3 in October a few weeks before Addie was born. We refer to Ava as “DQ” which means Drama Queen. She’s not temper tantrum dramatic, just loud. I wonder who she gets that from? Hmmm. She still looks just like my sisters did at this age, which is really neat. She is a sweet sweet little girl who loves to pretend to be a mommy with her dolls and loves to get all prettied up (has to have her nails done all the time and loves getting her hair done). Her favorite toy is her big brother Ayden though, and I love to watch them play together when they don’t realize their being watched. Ava is such a happy little girl, and still shocks us with how easily she goes to bed. We say time for Night Night, and she heads right to her room. Love it! I’ll enjoy every second of it while it lasts.

Addie- Adeline Lee was born on Nov. 10th at 1:11pm- 7lbs 8oz and 20 ½”, she looks just like Ayden did when he was a newborn, except instead of the Mohawk she has a full head of hair, and she has dimples! So cute! She’s the perfect fit for our family, and everyone adores her. We can’t wait until she’s a little older and we can watch all 3 of them play together.

Duncan- This year was my 30th birthday and Ron got me/us a puppy. We got Duncan from the La Crescent Animal Shelter, he just turned a year in Nov. He is a Beagle/Daschund mix, and is about as tall as my knee and won’t get bigger. He’s beautiful, and such a great dog. He was kennel trained & potty trained when we got him, Yay!  I’m so glad we got him, he completes our family, and the kids adore him. I’m especially glad now that there is snow on the ground that we have him. Ayden and Duncan will spend hours out in the backyard playing in the snow.  This coming year we’ll be working with him more on leash training & obedience training. When I say we, I mean me.

So that’s our 2010, it was a great year and we were blessed. What more can  you ask for? Our hope is that this finds you blessed as well, and it comes with Blessings for a wonderful 2011!

God Bless,

The Connaughty’s- Ron, Maggie, Ayden, Ava, Addie & Duncan
