When it rains it pours?? Who said this is a bad thing?!
This week has been pretty amazing for me when it comes to my photography business.. I’ve booked 2 weddings for next year, gotten some pretty amazing compliments on my work from potential clients, and recieved some amazing compliments on my work from current clients.. All in all I need to quit 2nd guessing my decision to go into business for myself. It’s hard sometimes, not because I question my ability, but because I question paying the bills.. I’m married to a Financial Analyst.. which is great sometimes because I don’t make the financial mistakes I did in my youth (I have to pause, man did I just say that!? I’m not even 30 yet! I’m still young!!
. But it’s also hard sometimes because I have to present a business plan if I want to get my hair cut (ok, not seriously.. well not anymore.. he’s gotten much better
LOL!), and especially since I’ve started my business.. He stresses out, which stresses me out. Not good for my creative genes! Or maybe it is… Hmmm.. I wonder.. I’ve lived a pretty stressful life (which I will not get into on a public forum) but it’s all made me stronger, better, and the person I am today, and I like her! So maybe I thrive in this.. What will I do when things aren’t stressful! Just imagine how creative I’ll be then! Ha!
So besides designing some albums, processing a wedding, designing Christmas cards, designing business cards & tweeking my marketing approach.. I just implemented a GIFT REGISTRY!!! I figure in this day & age, what a great Idea!! Getting your portraits done is a want, and now a days we can’t have everything we want.. SO gift registry it is! I revive my creative juices with a Venti Iced Caramel Mocciatto with a extra shot of espresso! Yeah that’s right that will jumpstart any creative soul, either that or give me a heart attack… LOL!! Yum
Family Portrait Session- Sneak Peek!
Great Great Family Session today!! The family is return clients of mine, and they were actually the first paying client I had when I started my business, and they’re still with me.. I think that’s a good sign.
It’s amazing to me how much kids change in a year! I always enjoy photographing these cuties, and today was NO different, they had me laughing and acting like a idiot to get them laughing as well! Enjoy!
Christian- 4 months old- Christmas Portraits Sneak Peek!
I was lucky enough to meet Christian before he was born, I did his mommy’s maternity photos, then I got to meet Christian right after he was born, and take his newborn pictures (The famous “Womb” picture with the netting is him), and now he’s already 4 months old!! Christian and his mommy came to visit me at my studio, and we got right to it. Christian is SO alert for 4 months, he was babbling away, laughing, rolling over, sitting up (Well kind of..
He won me over immediately with his beautiful smile, and gorgeous blue eyes.. Not to mention he’s my beautiful nephew!
He gave me my baby fix for awhile (I have baby fever, and my hubby and I are planning for baby #3), and I told his Mommy, that I would babysit any time she needed it! Here are a few of my favorite’s so far of the little heart breaker!! It you don’t have a smile on your face by the end of this post.. well.. then look at that beautiful face one more time! Enjoy!
