Halloween 2011 Costume Contest {In Studio & On Location Portrait Photographer, MN}
BOO! The time is here for the pitter patter of little feet and doorbells ringing! YAY! I never really cared for Halloween until I had children of my own, it’s just so fun how excited they get; picking out their costumes, receiving candy, and then of course the crash after the sugar buzz.. Ha!
My daughter Ava just turned 4 and my youngest Addie will be 1 in Nov (YAY!) and we’re celebrating this year with our first joint birthday party!! This year I decided to celebrate in a special way, with you all!!
COSTUME CONTEST!!!
Details: contest will run Friday- Tuesday, and the Winner receives: $50 gift card to Captured By Maggie Photography & Designs
How to Enter: a photo of you, your kiddo(s), your pet in costume posted to my facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/capturedphotographybymaggie). Must be a current picture from this year!
*NO Alcholic beverages in any images, all pictures must be rated PG!!
All photos will be moved to a album on my page, Tuesday evening. Then VOTING starts! Voting runs until Friday Nov. 4th at Noon.
VOTING: A panel of judges (made up of parents and photographers) will vote on the entries. Their score is 50%.
MY FANS Will “Vote” on the entries and this will make up the other 50%.
How do MY FANS Vote? Send your family & friends to comment under your picture with one word “VOTE”. We’ll tally them up and Bam! Winner!
*Any RUDE or Derogatory Vote will be removed. Keep it clean & fun!
The entry with the highest overall score wins!
If there is A Lot of interest and entries I may be persuaded to do a first runner up! 
Last years Halloween Costumes, Ava loves her brother so much she wore his Batman costume from the year before…

2010 My Favorite Things Contest {Rochester, Minnesota Family Wedding Photographer}

Raindrops on Roses and Whiskers on Kittens, Bright Copper Kettles and Warm Woolen Mittens… The Sound of Music was recently on TV for the holidays. . as I was watching it for the 100th time it got me thinking about my favorite things from 2010, and while the #1 on my list is the birth of our 3rd child Addie, many of my clients made my list of my favorite things from 2010.. so that got me thinking..
To look back and commemorate a wonderful year, I am holding a contest! It was extremely hard to narrow it down, but below I have posted my favorite images from the year. Vote for YOUR favorite.
The winner will receive the choice of an 11×14 metal print of the winning image OR an 11×14 metal print from a future 2011 session (session must take place before May 2011 in SE Minnesota).
To vote just comment to this blog post the number of your favorite image. Image numbers are located at the TOP of each image to the left. Please do invite your family and friends to vote but only ONE vote for ONE image per IP address (i.e., computer) will be counted. I will be tracking so please let’s play fair! Voting will close at 5pm Central Time on Tuesday 1/4/2011. The Winner will be announced on my facebook page on Wed 1/5/2011.
